Cantor Annie is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Goucher College, and she holds advanced degrees from Peabody Conservatory and Ecoles des Beaux-Arts de Fontainebleau. She studied conducting and music theory with Nadia Boulanger, nusach and trop with Herman Berlinski, and chaplaincy and Torah with Rabbi Abraham Shusterman. Cantor Annie also studied Yiddish and The History of Israel in post-graduate classes at Baltimore Hebrew University.

From 1994- 2014 Annie Rose served as Cantor of Temple Beth Emeth in Ann Arbor, where she currently serves as cantor emerita.

Cantor Annie is available to officiate at weddings and other life-cycle events, as well as tutoring B’nai Mitzvah students in person and online.  She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband Theo Morrison. To contact Cantor Annie, please email her:
